Upcoming events for spring 2023:
Kamehameha Maui school’s Ho’olaule’a – this much loved event is back as an in-person day of fun on Saturday, March 4, 2023! Crafters will sell from 9am-3pm in the courtyard. Stop by my booth, talk story and enjoy kama’aina specials on my clothing and other products. (Maui)
Merrie Monarch Invitational Arts & Craft Fair – I will have a new location this year in the Civic auditorium, right in the piko of the room instead of the Butler building! The fair runs for 4 days: Wednesday – Saturday, April 12 – 15, 2023. I will be bringing all my home decor as well as my dresses and wahine tops. Come early for best selection as I usually sell out. (Hilo, big island)
I will have an artist table at the upcoming Jake Shimabukuro concert at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Come by and see me from 5pm-9pm on January 21, 2023 outside in the Pavilion. I will have wahine clothing, new mens t-shirts and all my home decor including my hand printed pillow covers and drink mat sets.
I will have an artist booth at the next Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Ho’onanea Concert series. On December 10, 2022, Henry Kapono and other fabulous musicians will entertain with the best songs of Cecilio & Kapono. Crafter hours are from 5pm – 9pm in the Pavillion.
I will be a vendor at the upcoming Made in Maui County Festival at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on November 4 and 5, 2022. Friday, November 4, from 1:30pm – 6pm, will be for $50 entrance attendees and buyers. Saturday, November 5, will be the big day from 8am – 4:30pm with a $7 admission fee.
My booth will be front and center and the first business you see as you enter! I will have an assortment of Pillow Covers, Tea Towels, Drink Mat sets, Mens T-shirts and lots of new wahine clothing.
I will have a booth at the upcoming Ukulele Festival, Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 3pm – 7pm at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on Maui. I am one of the Hawaiian artists and crafters chosen by the MACC for their Ho’onanea Hawaiian concert series. This free concert will be held on the Amphitheater lawn so bring your low beach chairs and enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music!
I will have an artist table at the upcoming Ku Mai Ka Hula competition at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center! This 15th annual hula competition will be held on two days: Friday, September 9, 2022, craft hours are 4pm – 6pm with the solo hula competition event starting at 6pm. On Saturday, September 10, craft hours are 11am – 4pm with the group hula competition starting at 1pm.
I will have new dresses in fun colors at the Ki Ho’alu Slack Key Festival, June 26, on the grounds of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. One of my favorite new colors is this bright electric blue! I will have this color in sleeveless and cap sleeve dresses. Hele mai – let’s support Hawaiian music while enjoying our beautiful Maui weather.
New for summer 2022 – wahine sleeveless tops with a relaxed straight fit and side slits. A bright green Laua’e blockprint design adds a fun Hawaiian touch. I will have these available at Agfest on June 4th and the Ki Ho’alu Festival on June 26th while supplies last. (see past posts for details on events)
One of my best selling Pillow Cover designs, the Laua’e, is now sewn in a beautiful brown/gray cotton fabric which complements the current trend in gray home decor. The Laua’e blockprint is hand printed in a dark green and is repeated over the entire pillow cover for a Hawaiian accent to any home.
The Slack Key Festival is back at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, June 26th, 2022, from 1pm until sunset!
I will be set up along the breezeway with my home decor and new wahine clothing. I am looking forward to great live music, reconnecting with friends, hula sisters and welcoming new and returning customers. This long awaited event is free to the public so bring a low beach chair or mat and enjoy a beautiful Maui tradition.
